Missions matter deeply to us because we believe the church exists not for itself, but for the world around it. Our mission — "to boldly seek the transformation of our community by inviting every person to be a follower of Jesus Christ" — isn't simply a statement on a page; it's a calling we live out every day. As part of ECO, we hold to the conviction that the church is meant to be "a light that draws people from every tribe and tongue and nation to be reconciled to God." That purpose shapes everything we do, from Sunday worship to the way we serve our neighbors through outreach. A church without mission easily turns inward, but through Jesus Christ we are called outward — toward our community, toward the broken, and toward the lost.

Our vision of being "a welcoming family of imperfect people who find wholeness through Jesus Christ" reminds us that missions aren't just about going out — they're also about creating a place worth coming home to. When we reach into our community, we're extending that same welcome to everyone who hasn't yet found it in Him. ECO's essential tenets ground us in the truth that glorifying God means making His nature manifest in the life of the body, and that happens most powerfully when the church is actively engaged in serving and loving the people right around us. Missions, simply put, are how we follow the example of Jesus Christ and put our faith into action.
